- Payouts included. Players' payments are held until the game has been played, so they can be refunded if it is cancelled. Then your share goes to your Canadian bank on the next Monday and usually arrives within a few business days.

What is myMatchDay?
myMatchDay is a Canadian website for running pickup sports games: soccer, basketball, volleyball, hockey and ultimate. The organiser posts a game and shares one link. Players open it, grab a spot and pay by card, with no app to download and no account to make. The site makes balanced teams, tracks results and sends the organiser the money once the game has been played.
How do I collect money from players for a pickup game?
Post the game on myMatchDay, set a price per player and share the link in your group chat. Each player pays by card when they grab a spot, so there are no e-transfers to chase. You are paid to your Canadian bank account once the game has been played.
How do I split the cost of a field or court rental between players?
When you make a game, enter what the field or court costs and how many players you expect. The site suggests a price per player that covers the rental and the fees, and shows what you will take home before you post it.
How can I tell if enough people will come before I book the field?
Start the game as an interest check. Players add their name, and any friends they are bringing, without paying. Once enough people say they would play, book the field and open payments: everyone on the list gets an email with a link to pay in one tap.
How do I make fair teams for pickup?
Press Teams on the game page. The team balancer splits players using their positions and your private 1 to 5 ratings, gives each team one goalkeeper or goalie where the sport needs one, and you can move players around before sharing the teams.
Do players need an account or an app?
No. They open your link, fill in a short form and pay. It works in any phone browser, and the site remembers them on their phone for next time.
What does it cost?
Free to start, with no monthly fee. From each card payment the site takes 5% + $0.50, which already covers Stripe's card processing and payouts. Free games cost nothing.
What if a player cannot make it?
Payments are final, so a player who cannot make it is not refunded through the site. Players can contact you or our support for help with anything.
What if a game is cancelled or moved?
You can move a game to a new date or time in a couple of taps: everyone keeps their spot and nobody pays anything extra. If you cancel, every card payment is refunded. Stripe does not return its card processing fee on refunds, so players get back what they paid minus that fee, and we take no platform fee on refunded payments.
What do I need to get paid?
A Canadian bank account. Stripe asks for your date of birth, address and bank details once, on its own secure form shown right on this site. We never see your bank details. You are paid for each game once it has been played and refunds are no longer possible.
Can I run free games?
Yes. Set the price to 0 and there are no fees at all.
Can I keep track of who plays well?
Yes. Rate players privately from 1 to 5, and the team balancer uses those ratings with positions to make even teams. Players never see ratings.
Which sports?
Soccer, basketball, volleyball, hockey and ultimate. Each has its own positions, so teams balance the right way for that sport.
